White Fillings

White fillings are modern tooth-coloured restorations used to repair decayed or damaged teeth while maintaining a natural appearance.

Types of White Fillings:

  • Composite Resin: Ideal for small to medium cavities. It bonds strongly to the tooth and provides a natural-looking, long-lasting restoration when maintained well.
  • Glass Ionomer Cement (GIC): A fluoride-releasing material that helps protect the tooth against future decay, commonly used in specific clinical situations.

Porcelain (CEREC) Restorations

CEREC restorations are advanced, computer-designed ceramic fillings that restore damaged teeth with high precision, strength, and aesthetics—all in a single visit.

How Does It Work?

The damaged tooth is first prepared and digitally scanned to create a 3D model. Using advanced software, the ideal restoration is designed and then milled from a solid ceramic block. Once ready, it is polished and bonded securely to the tooth for a durable and natural-looking result.

CEREC restorations are ideal for medium to large cavities and offer several key advantages:

  • Preserves more natural tooth structure compared to traditional crowns
  • High long-term success rate (around 90% over 10 years in suitable cases)
  • Completed in a single appointment
  • Strong, biocompatible ceramic material
  • Highly precise digital design for an ideal fit
  • Cost-effective compared to lab-made restorations

Crowns

Dental crowns are protective caps placed over weakened or heavily restored teeth to restore strength, function, and appearance. They are typically recommended when a tooth has lost significant structure and requires full coverage protection.

The tooth is carefully reshaped, an impression is taken, and a custom crown is fabricated in a dental lab. A temporary crown is placed until the final restoration is ready.

Crowns can be made from porcelain, metal, or a combination of materials depending on clinical needs and aesthetic goals.
